Using the Resource Box in Articles to Increase Traffic

As mentioned, writing good quality articles can provide lots of long term traffic if done properly. The Resource Box at the end of the article is where you get to say some good things about yourself, and leads the reader to click on your link taking them to your web site, or sales page. One thing you should do is make certain that the information you provide in the Resource Box flows logically from what the article is about. For instance, if the bio in your Resource Box states that you're a world reknown cancer researcher and your article is about 'tips on winning the lottery' there will probably be a disconnect on the part of your readers. You know that the person reading your article is 'targeted' to the subject you're writing about, so use the Resource Box to further extend their interest.

Building Links

Most so called 'guru's will tell you that one way to build traffic is by creating lots of one way links to your site. This can be very time consuming and requires patience. Exchanging links with other sites can increase your traffic substantially but you have to show the owners of other website's that they will indeed benefit by exchanging links with you. If you use this method, make certain that you have a quality site and don't try to link to sites that are to similar to yours. For instance, a site that sells oldies music might do well linking to other sites that sell nostalgia or other memorabilia as long as they're not also peddling oldies music.
